Plans for Book

The book will be colorful. Very, very colorful. I'm talking blues, reds, yellows, greens, purple, and pink. I will have a page representing each of the things that represent the resilience of the buddha and the Dalai Lama such as a road ( a journey), a religiouse icon (Buddhism), a building of tibet (leadership), and finaly an icon from many religions all combined in one colage(tolerance of other religions). Those will be the main page layouts while the text will be about various topics. Each page will have an inspirational quote at the top of the page. The cover will be simply be an inspiring and "enlightening" design that people will be able to interprate in many ways in order to represent a key idea of buddhists: That even though we have many differences, we are all very much the same.

I think it's wonderful that you are planning to create a book completely decorated to your piece of artwork! I have seen how amazing you are at creating books, already. I am impressed by the thought and depth that went into your artistic creation - as well as how impressive it turned out. Thank you for sharing it with the class as an excellent model and a piece of artwork that provokes thought and definitely a desire to learn more about your resilient individuals. Would you like to be part of the group designing the book we are going to make as a class to represent the collection of artwork we create as a group, also? You are going to be a master of InDesign and book creation. I am excited to try book binding techniques with you so that you can begin creating your own library of artistic and written creations!
